Dark Sun: The Tyrant of Tyr
Zafir and Jekall continue to try to get hold of the north west tower and stop the guards from lowering the gate
Frost slips away from the firey necromancer and attacks the plague necromancer bringing it close to death when a rain of crossbow bolts from the brotherhood on the caravans impacts onto the two defilers. The fire necromancer whails in pain but as fortune has it one of the bolts strikes the plague-mancer in the chest! He stumbles for a moment, uttering some final dark words. Great cracks open into the ground beneath him and suddenly black smoke issues from beneath his great cloak as it falls to the ground. Then the rumbling ground lurches away from them as the cracks trail off around the side of the slave pens and out of sight leaving no sign of the necromancers body and the shattered remains of his staff
In the centre of the battlefield the free orators continue to try to free the slaves as the veil agents move over to protect them by throwing fireballs and magic missiles at anyone who has not yet given themselves up. The group of muls nearest to the slaves are consumed in a torrent of magical fire
on the eastern side of the battlefield the rest of the brotherhood continue to assail the north east tower of the slave pens whilst the guards on top return fire with a volley of crossbow bolts from their turret
The rest of the tyrian soldiers break and begin to retreat as Orsk shouts defiantly at the remaining nevromancer, issuing a challenge to which the reply is cackles of madness
The rebel tyrian guard of zafir continue to let out the slaves and surround the last group of guards on the ground floor giving them the ultimatum of join us or die. They comply and withdraw but just as they do Zafir and the guards begin to realise that in no time the group of desperate slaves will be upon them and will treat them just as any other guards!
zafir breaks from combat with the templar and half-giants to leap up onto the battlements. Shouting down he manages to grab the attention of many of the slaves denouncing the king, the regieme and offering the slaves a chance of freedom. Some respond positively with cheers whilst others seem to become more frantic and desperate.
