Dark Sun: The Tyrant of Tyr
Discovered more about the mysterious rock obtained from the queen’s chamber
headed back to the dune reapers and made their way inside the colony, using the rock to amplify Jekals psionics to enable them to get past the reapers
the brohg were restless and hungry and several times nearly attacked the reapers for food but Orsk talked them down however one time as they passed the dune reapers the creatures started to test them as they passed, probing them with their arm blades as if testing the tenderness of meat. One of the brohg reacted and lashed out causing the dune reapers to attack. Jekall managed to calm the situation but as they travelled around the colony outer edge they could not find the way out. Yakala was stumped but Orsk and Frost came to the conclusion that much like the matron’s lair perhaps to escape the colony would involve going down before they could go out and therefore would need to head deeper into the colony!
Jekall managed to gain control of two warriors who would lead them to the monastery which seemed to work. Passing yet more reapers they entered the centre of the colony where the brohg yet again were distracted by the smells and were it not for the intervention of orsk would have gone awol. Further they went when from behind a high pitched shriek from a different kind of dune reaper they had yet to encounter, emitting an alarming sound that was sure to attract attention! Quickly Jekall sought to overload the dune reaper and successfully stopped the shrieking but not before several warriors were alerted.
Quickly they proceeded onwards with the dune reaper warriors close behind. Further down they went but then finally the colony turned west once more in the direction they had wanted. Hurrying as fast as they could with their guides a fair distance away but still just within sight. Eventually the tunnel began to slope upwards and the tunnel broke into more natural caverns. They entered what appeared to be a large natural cavern where the dune reapers had stopped. Turning to face jekall they clicked their arm blades together to suggest the task was complete, then scurried past them to return to their lair
The cavern was large and had them on alert as it had seen recent use, however it seemed that whoever was here had left quite hurriedly and left a trail of debris. Broken weapons and crates lay everywhere. Additionally a tunnel exit on the south wall looked as if it had once been sealed but had been smashed open
