Dark Sun: The Tyrant of Tyr
Frost saw ahead a dwarf fighting off the Bashraes, already heavily wounded, the creatures danced around him, seemingly taunting him with insect-like clicks and whirrs. He moved carefully waiting to discover friend from foe, but soon recognised the Banshraes for the wicked creatures they are. He signalled back to Yakala and the rest to come forward as he prepared to attack
Jekall stepped forward to challenge the creatures and invaded their minds receiving nothing but a torrent of abuse and taunts from the creatures who turned to face him. With poisoned darts close to their mouths they let forth a torrent of darts in his direction. Unprepared Jekall was hit and left standing dazed and in shock. The Banshraes laughed telepathically and continued to taunt him, calling him a “foolish little man”
The Dwarf, seeing the new arrivals took the opportunity to strike back at hos attackers, with a blast of psionic energy which knocked them off balance
The twin Basilisks moved slowly forward – their green eyes piercing the gloom of the fog with a sinister glow
Eben rushed forward using a battle call to Fume slicing into the Banshrae warriors who had surrounded Jekall
Tybia and Yakala also moved up to help Jekall out who seemed to be in a battle of minds with one of the Banshrae
Kagero surged past them, as she could see the Dwarf could not take much more punishment and made a distraction for the Banshraes to divert their fire
Narissa worked magic at the back lending confusion to the battle with spells of illusion.
The Dwarf was mesmerised by the dancing of the Banshraes with each attack they seemed to make him look more defenceless. Then Kagero was struck by a dart and too became locked in the mesmerising dance and seemed to sway to and fro as does a flower in the desert breeze
Then before they knew it the Basilisks were upon them. Forcing their gaze on the helpless Dwarf and Kagero, and their dancing paused as a grey colour tainted their flesh and armour as it became living stone!
